We are in the process of building an all-new online experience. Please check back soon. Meanwhile, you can get the latest updates and news on our Facebook page:

We are a non-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to exploring and learning about the history of Central Virginia, where our local story is America's story. Our work is guided by the understanding that history is not the past. History is the story we tell about the past. And depending on who has the resources and the opportunities to tell those stories, that will shape the history we leave for those who come after us. We are dedicated to making it possible for as many people as possible, from all walks of life, to engage in telling the full story of the Central Virginia region. If done right, history is diverse, inclusive, and honest. We invite you to help us make history.
